We hope that this helps you in your quest to find the perfect breed of dog to suit you and your family!
The cavoodle is the perfect breed for you.
Cavoodles are bred with one parent as a King Charles Cavalier, and the other as a poodle. They are fantastic with children and all types of families, and are the perfect companion to do whatever type of activity you want to. They love people and will love every person you introduce them to, and you will find everyone loves them back in an instant. They are very easy to train, and will retain that knowledge, or can go further into the world of obedience training if you so wish. Cavoodles are the dog that most of our Banksia Park Puppy families choose, simply for their perfect ability to fit into family life, and their beautiful even temperament.
Cavoodles also are non to low shedding, so they are fantastic dogs to take in the car, to have inside the house, or to take with you wherever you go.
The spoodle is the perfect breed for you.
Spoodles are bred with one parent as a cocker spaniel, and the other as a poodle. They are really good with children, especially young school kids. They are friendly and love company but also love to play and run and chase. Spoodles are the second highest in demand breed at Banksia Park Puppies, they have a great nature and fit well into families and the demands of children and work-life balance.
Spoodles also are non to low shedding, and are medium sized dogs, so they are fantastic dogs to take in the car, to have inside the house, or to take with you wherever you go.
The mini-groodle is the perfect breed for you.
Mini-groodles are bred with one parent as a golden retriever and the other as a poodle. Mini-groodles have a great even temperament, which means that they are great with families but especially mid-aged and older school kids. They want to be with an active family who likes to be out at the park, throwing balls, running or riding bikes. They are friendly and love company but also love to play and run and chase.
Mini-groodles also are non to low shedding, and are larger sized dogs. Mini-groodles are the largest of the dogs that we breed at Banksia Park Puppies and tend to be about the size of a golden retriever.
King Charles Cavalier
The King Charles Cavalier is the perfect breed for you.
King Charles Cavaliers are great dogs and are perfect for older owners with a lower exercise requirement. They really like to be treated like a human and many older retirees really enjoy the company of the King Charles Cavalier. They like all types of people and have love for everyone who walks in your door.
They will enjoy being in the house with you and you may find them taking over your favourite chair! They will want to sit on your knee, and their favourite thing in life is being around you. They are very easy to train, and will retain simple sit, stay, drop type of commands as long as you continue to use them.
King Charles Cavaliers have a longer coat, but it is still a lower shedding dog. These dogs adapt extremely well to smaller yards and inside living such as in apartments. Their main priority is being near their owners.
The cocker spaniel is the perfect breed for you.
Cocker spaniels are really good with children, especially young school kids with alot of energy to burn! They love to chase balls, go for walks and jump around.
They are not bred with a poodle so they will shed some hair, but are a low shedding dog. Their coats are flat and silky and are a much loved part of this breed. You will need to brush the hair weekly to make sure that there is no knots, and they will require grooming at certain times of the year (e.g. going into summer) but there is a lesser requirement for ongoing monthly grooming than the ‘oodle’ breeds.
